- So, first we had a triple birthday party at my boss's house. (I'll post pics when I get power back.) Then one set of best friends took me to dinner at a Chinese restaurant on my actual birthday. Great fun. As I was driving home from that (in rather dreary rain) another set of best friends called to wish me a happy birthday (and berate me for making them look it up to find the actual date; I still think my officemate called them as she threatened to do), and let me celebrating would happen Wednesday. It did. Beautiful cake, preceded by wonderful dinner, all accented with superb company. All in all a good way to slip into the second half of a century.
- I stopped on the way to & 's to get gas. I'm glad I didn't put it off, as I paid $3.65(and 9/10ths) and the price had jumped to $3.69 (and 9/10ths) at the same station by the time I headed home that evening. Ouch.
